This year at the Marlborough Jazz Festival it was almost touch and go that we could do it.
Richard, the lead guitarist, was at a medieval fair somewhere near Reading ( he makes Longbows), Derek, the Saxophonist, was due to play somewhere else , Phil drove all the way from a festival near Canterbury, did the show, then drove all the way back to Canterbury, whilst Stevie who was suffering from a horrible infection in his right eye caused by an insect bite, could hardly see a thing !

If ever the old maxim…`The show must go on`…was more aptly employed, it was at this Jazz festival.

You need a lot of pluck to play in the Stevie Gilmore Sound.
